Charles Philip’s shoes emerged from his belief that the world would be a better place if there were more stripes in it. While walking the French Concession one hot afternoon in Shanghai, Charles was inspired by his white and blue striped shirt for his next shoe design.

Originally from Milan, Charles now lives in Shanghai’s French Concession with his best friend and designer partner Sheila Pipigala. Together they created their slipper collections, touching upon their favorite elements: the ease of Moroccan babush, the elegance of the English gentry slipper and the freshness of striped cottons and soft colorful linens. The shoe design is executed completely by hand using traditional methods and the finest fabrics. .
