The Bucket List: A Cooking Class at Haven's Kitchen

By Tuckernuck on

Every season we make a bucket list of activities to check off in the months ahead. When we decided to tackle #1 and host a cooking class and supper with a few of our influencer friends, Haven's Kitchen in NYC was the obvious choice. The icing on the cake? Tuckernuck friend and major girl boss/chef, Ashton Keefe, teaches at Haven's. Done deal.

Haven's Kitchen is a space dedicated to forming communities through the pleasure of cooking and eating. Alison Cayne opened Haven’s Kitchen in 2012 with the goal of teaching the pride and pleasure of cooking seasonal ingredients from scratch. She founded the company with a mission to educate people on how decisions around the food we purchase, eat, and make affect the environment, society, and our daily relationships.

Our PR manager, Shallon, worked with Ashton to develop the perfect, summer-to-fall transitional menu. Together with our friends, we plucked the "beards" off the mussels and later dipped and desipgned our very own Candy Apples (which just so happens to be Fall Bucket List #4... check!)

We couldn't have picked a better place to host a women influencers event - at a fellow woman-run cooking school. Thanks to all of our friends that came out to support us! From left to right...
