Product Management and User Experience Intern

Tuckernuck is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Product Management and User Experience Intern who is eager to contribute to a quickly growing, ever-evolving eCommerce start-up. Please note: This position may turn into a full-time, salaried position in September 2014. 

To succeed in this role, you must be a self-starter with excellent writing skills and a meticulous, uncompromising eye for detail. By participating in the product management and user experience workflow, your daily tasks will include: product uploads, data entry, maintaining and improving site navigation, and sales analytics reporting using various technologies.

Working alongside our founders, you will have the opportunity to gain a solid understanding of all facets of the company and directly contribute to the overall look and feel of the website.  You will be on the front lines of a fast-paced and growing team in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment.   • Support site management with all aspects of the product cycle (product preparation, receipt, and launch) and user experience (ease of navigation and path to purchase).
  • Upload new and edit existing products. Navigate product to all relevant categories. Make the customer experience of browsing through our store easy, convenient and impactful.
  • Assist in managing site content and merchandising. Coordinate product placement, visibility of key items and execution of promotions.
  • Analyze sales, conversion and campaign executions using various reporting technologies.
  • Understand and promote best practices in content strategy, SEO, usability, branding and marketing.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary products and experiences to provide solutions for current site enhancements and future developments.
  • Monitor, review, and maintain #tuckernucking social fan gallery daily and help approve photos as well as assign to the appropriate products.
  • Qualifications
  • You are a college student or recent graduate who is passionate about e-commerce.
  • You are a self-starter, creative thinker and problem solver.
  • You are a proactive team player but also have the ability to work independently.
  • You have a solid eye for detail and great taste for aesthetics.
  • You pay acute attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • You possess strong, well-formed opinions about what makes for the best online shopping experiences and are knowledgeable of competitive and complementary products and experiences.
  • You are an excellent writer with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple platforms: phone, in-person, email, social media...etc.
  • You have the ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple and competing priorities, and adhere to deadlines.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
