The October Lifestyle Guide

By Tuckernuck on

IN A NEW YORK MINUTE PART TWO

Our co-founder and CEO, Jocelyn, calls New York City home. Who better to show off our newest October arrivals than this energetic and fun-loving mother of 4? Follow along as she and her adorable family and friends show us why nothing beats fall in New York.

6 PM

Jocelyn and friends, Merriweather and Becky, begin the evening with art gallery hopping (a la our Fall Bucket List) in some of our most chic and sophisticated pieces.

GOLD AND BOLD

Jocelyn and friends, Meriwether and Becky, set out for a night of gallery hopping (a la our Fall Bucket List) in some of our most chic and sophisticated pieces.

STYLE TIP

Pair kick out denim with ankle boots for a chic ensemble to take you from the board room to the art gallery in no time.

8 AM

In a cashmere printed scarf, Jocelyn meets her brother for breakfast at one of her favorite downtown spots, Tiny's.

BREAKFAST AT TINY’S

Quilted layers are almost as iconic to fall as a steaming cup of hot coffee. Loafers and a printed scarf make the morning as cozy and warm as the company does.

1 PM

With 4 young children, Jocelyn is always looking for kid friendly adventures. A favorite is the short ferry ride to Brooklyn for pizza and a spin on the carousel.

ALL ABOARD

Nautical stripes and a hint of plaid outfit our trip across the East River. Sightseeing never gets old in this city.

3 PM

A wild balloon shop is right around the corner from Jocelyn’s apartment and the kids love stopping by. A casual, yet put-together, daytime look comes in handy.

UP IN THE AIR

A TribeCa institution, The Balloon Saloon, is a favorite of Jocelyn's kids. Regular trips are made there for colorful "treats". This classic neutral look that Jocelyn is wearing is topped off with the perfect metallic shoe.

8 PM

Jocelyn pops on a gorgeous Saloni dress and preps for guests in her loft apartment.

MIX AND MINGLE

Gold, navy, and playful accents make for a show stopping combo while entertaining on a Saturday night.

1 PM

Jocelyn and her friend, Sabrina, set up an impromptu pizza party on Sabrina’s Brooklyn stoop. The right layers make it an afternoon alfresco, and extra cheese makes it even better.

A SLICE OF FALL

An effortless popover is a must-have for fall. Easy tennis shoes and sunnies make this a look to live in all season, perfect for meeting up with friends in Brooklyn and letting the day get away from you.

STYLING TIP

Sabrina knows how to do fall fashion; stripes pop against a glam Moto jacket and she rounds out the look with neutral loafers.

8 PM

The Met stays open late on Saturday nights. Jocelyn and her husband love browsing the exhibits followed by an intimate dinner at their favorite Uptown bistro, le Charlot. This silk ruffle tunic has the perfect amount of sheen for a night of cocktails and conversation.

Sometimes the best part of fall in New York, is getting away for a girls weekend just outside the city to experience more seasonal adventures... AKA tuckernucking.

HITTING THE ROAD

Bags are packed and furry friends are in towe. We’re ready for an unforgettable fall weekend, only a short drive away.

STYLING TIP

Sarah, Chrissi and Jocelyn have mastered casual fall style. The simple formula begins with chic neutrals... a great pair of pants and an elegant sweater. Then add one or two pops of color, whether it's a scar, loafers or a vest.
