A COUNTRY ESCAPE

Welcome to Foxfire in Monkton, Maryland, a place where the foggy hills roll beyond grazing horses, a hundred-year-old manor humbly settles into the landscape, and plenty of adventures are around every corner. Follow along as we escape there for a long weekend of fall fun; think al-fresco dinners, fishing, card games, and even chasing after chickens.

ARRIVE AND SHINE

We drive the quarter mile long driveway flanked by gorgeous maple trees in our coziest fall outfits.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Whether it’s velvet smoking slippers or a gorgeous tweed, we’re loving fall’s finer textures.

MADE FOR WALKING

We layer on our favorite Barbour® jackets for an early morning walk with our four-legged friends.

FUN FACT

Two horses, one pup, and two humans shown here are quite familiar with foxfire; Oriet and her daughter come here to ride throughout the year, and the yellow lab Scuba lives here year round.

LAYER LAYER

Barbour®’s quilted and waxed jackets and warm ponchos are the perfect layer for fall. Pair them with plaid, good walking shoes, and great friends (2-legged and 4-legged alike).

THE PERFECT PEAR

In the garden abutting acres of stables, we head out to pick some pears in chunky cableknit and pretty plaid

FUN FACT

Across the 127 acres of land, there are more than 20 major species of trees and over 100 specimens of other flowers, bushes, and shrubs. Lucky for us, it's pear season, although we couldn't resist sharing some with the nearby horses.

COLOR THEORY

This fall, we're loving rich hues like pumpkin and hunter green. Pair with white or distressed denim for a refreshing look.

IN WHEEL LIFE

We take a little bike ride along the maple-lined drive in crisp shirting and fall flats.

A HIDDEN BUTTON

Introducing our fall line of custom-made shirts and shirt dresses from designer Rochelle Behrens. We love this shirting because of the patented extra hidden buttons that prevent gaping and solve the unbuttoned-too-low-or-buttoned-too-high enigma.

GAME ON

Amidst the plush interiors and cozy fireplace seating, we settle in for an exciting game of cards.

FUN FACT

A historic horse breeding and training farm, foxfire's manor house was built in 1932 and meticulously restored in 2017 by renowned designer Steven Gambrel - transforming the property into a crisp, chic version of its former equestrian self.

SWEATER WEATHER

Introducing a new brand discovery: Jumper 1234. The cashmere comes from the countryside of Mongolia in efforts to support the lives of the Nomadic Herdsmen. A Tuckernuck exclusive, the Starburst Cashmere Sweater features a bright red color and bold pattern.

YOU CHICKEN?

We head outside to feed the chickens in comfy weekend necessities.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Year after year we turn to Barbour®'s quilted jackets for all our outdoor activities, be they carrying chickens on the farm or walking the dog on the city streets.

AS YOU FISH

On a canoe ride in one of the two quarries on the property, we packed a warm blanket, piled on stripes and a quilted jacket, and tried our hand at fishing.

STRIPE FOR THE PICKING

Stripes aren't just for summer... We love this short-sleeved flutter tee for everything from canoe rides to a trip to the farmer's market.

ON THE TABLE

With farm-fresh ingredients and plenty of good company, we all pitch in to make dinner.

DINNER WINNER

Our new favorite combo for fall dinner parties? Ditsy florals and velvet pants.

FUN FACT

With more than 8,000 square feet of living space, the elegantly furnished manor house has six bedrooms, six fireplaces, a pool and two quarries, all available to rent for a wedding or special event.

S'MORE PLEASE

Beneath the trees and with the rolling hills beyond us, we find there are few better desserts than good old fashioned roasted marshmallows.

INTRODUCING: THE TUCKERNUCK FALL JEWELRY COLLECTION

When designing this season's jewelry line, our founder Jocelyn and Creative Director Sophie were inspired by paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. Whether capturing a sparkly chandelier, reinterpreting an ornate bird cage, or updating the famous pearl earring, this collection seeks to add a sophisticated, vintage touch to your fall and holiday outfits.

A HOP, SIP, AND A JUMP

The terrace facing the stables proves to be an idyllic spot for afternoon cocktails in our prettiest new ruffles and bows.

THE MASON BLOUSE

Our best-selling blouse is back for fall. With its delicate ruffles and pretty bow details, this top looks great with suede leggings for date night or even tucked into an elegant skirt for a cocktail party.

THE MAIN EVENT

For an al-fresco cocktail party, we choose our prettiest florals and fringe.

FLOWER POWER

Known for her vintage-inspired, elegant floral prints and feminine silhouettes, we can't get enough of Rebecca Taylor's fall line of blouses, skirts, and dresses.
