Tuckernuck Tastemakers:
The Fortunato Sisters

March 4, 2026

Get inspired by the entrepreneurs and tastemakers we admire. Our latest feature: Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato, founders and designers behind jewelry and accessories brand Lizzie Fortunato.

Meet the Tastemakers

Based in New York City, sisters Lizzie and Kathryn lead their brand alongside a team of 18. Lizzie, the creative force behind the label, began designing jewelry as a passion project in college before launching the company in 2008. Kathryn joined two years later, bringing strategic vision and business expertise. Inspired by their travels around the world, the founders design pieces for women who are adventurers, collectors, and unapologetically themselves. This spring, we partnered with them on an exclusive capsule collection: a tight edit of nine unique pieces. A nod to the American West, the collection is designed to feel just as at home on city streets as it does in the mountains or on a beach getaway.

Mix Your Metals

Jewelry is meant to meant to be joyfully layered and fuss-free. Don’t be scared to mix metals. It’s subtle but still cool-girl.

Match Your Mood

Pair turquoise with neutrals and brown while it’s cold, then add gold and cream come spring to feel brighter and bolder.
