Located at San Ysidro Ranch, this charming restaurant is my favorite Santa Barbara spot for a special date night or celebration. Shallon’s Secret: get there early to walk the grounds with a cocktail in hand.
The Montecito location is the ideal casual spot to sit for breakfast or lunch. I also love ordering takeout and bringing it to the beach for lunch and a seaside stroll!
This family-run, French-inspired restaurant is a must, and worth the drive to Los Alamos. It is the perfect dinner or lunch spot while you’re wine tasting in the area, and its chef Daisy Ryan was awarded Food and Wine’s Best New Chef.
This is a mountainside western saloon that serves local American fare, and is known for its wild game. Shallon’s Secret: try to go on a weekend for live music!
Enjoy a picnic lunch at Presqu’ile Winery, with an afternoon tasting in Los Olivos. A few of my favorite tasting rooms and vineyards are Stolpman Garage and Hollis Bollis. Shallon’s Secret: Santa Barbara is known for its Pinot Noir, so be sure to pour a glass!
After a beach day, head over to The Boat House at Hendry’s Beach for a sunset cocktail and bite. Shallon’s Secret: order the blood orange margarita and fresh oysters.
Stroll down the shops in Coast Village Road in Montecito, where you’ll find fashion, jewelry, art, and home goods.
I always love popping into Jenni Kayne, but feel it’s especially necessary when I’m on the West Coast. This specific store is gorgeous!
