Meet Nathalie, a professional nutritionist and admirable businesswoman who let us in on all of her essentials for wellness, summer meals, and style. With a BA in Psychology from Cornell and an MS in Clinical Nutrition from NYU, Nathalie is an expert on the relationship between food, emotion, science, and spirituality. Through her work, her goal is to enlighten others that anyone can live a healthy lifestyle.

Besides cooking and working with clients, Nathalie enjoys golfing, exercising, and traveling. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her husband and son Stevie at home in Greenwich, CT, as they await the arrival of their newest family member—a baby girl!

"I’ve always known I wanted to work with individuals in an intimate, one-on-one, therapy-based setting. After a few years of working in the psychology field, I realized that I didn’t want the main focus to be mental health. I found that I could shift my practice from mental health to nutrition and health, and the rest is history!"

"Watching women regain their confidence and undergo an empowering transformation that lasts a lifetime! I am also so grateful for the amazing relationships I build with many incredible people through working one-on-one with a diverse group of clients."

"Focus on how you feel, not how you look! Our bodies have a special way of letting us know what we need and I encourage people to listen to their bodies and follow the signs. Nourish your body with whole foods, focus on plants, and move your body daily!"

More About Nathalie Rhone

What’s your general daily routine?

I love my slow mornings. I enjoy warm lemon water and coffee with homemade nut milk in bed (especially because my husband brings it up to me!) while waiting for my son, Stevie, to wake up. Once Stevie’s awake we’ll play and eat breakfast together before I get my workout in and start seeing clients. In the afternoon, once I’m finishing with work, I hang with Stevie, take him swimming or to classes. Every night we eat dinner together as a family before our bath, book and bed routine. Then my husband and I will have a little alone time together before we call it a night.

What is the greatest piece of business advice that you have received?

Be authentic to yourself and trust that your intuition won’t lead you astray.

What are the seasonal ingredients you’re looking forward to using in your summer meals?

In the heat I always say hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! That means refreshing green juices and tons of hydrating fruits and vegetables like cucumber, zucchini, watermelon, and strawberries. Some of my favorite things out of the garden in the summer months are tomatoes, corn and lots of fresh greens and herbs.

What is your advice to expecting mothers who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle while pregnant?

This question is so important! When you’re feeling more like your normal self (2nd trimester) and hopefully the nausea and aversions have passed, try to maintain a healthy, balanced diet. Eat tons of whole fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and high-quality protein. Make sure to stay hydrated, supplement with a trusted prenatal, and try to incorporate movement daily. Always listen to your body! Honoring what your body needs and is asking for, as well as giving yourself grace can go a long way during pregnancy. Enjoy the process, pregnancy is such a beautiful time and the female body is absolutely incredible.

What are your workouts of choice, both while pregnant and not?

Although some days are more relaxed than others, my movement hasn’t changed much while pregnant. When I’m not out walking with Stevie and Brady (my pup), hiking with my hubby or playing golf or tennis, you can find me doing full-body mat based workouts with a mix of dance cardio and strength training. Shout out to some of my favorites Coreplay, Anneclaire Nelson, Tracy Anderson Method and The Sculpt Society.

What is your summer uniform?

I’m due with my second baby in August, so I will be living in flowy dresses this summer!

What’s on your summer bucket list?

We’re going to be spending a lot more time at home this summer with our baby girl due in August and I’m actually so excited to stay grounded around home for a change. We will have quality time to enjoy our home and country club, swim in our pool, and have friends over for BBQs. We typically spend a lot of the summer in the Hamptons and on the go, but I’m very excited about the change this year. My bucket list revolves around my family and babies which means getting the nursery ready for our girl, moving Stevie into his new big boy room and getting him potty trained… oh how times have changed!

Favorite beach destination?

Too many to choose from… but Turks and Caicos is at the top of the list!

Currently reading?

Being a working Mom and running my own business leaves me very little downtime to read, even though it’s something I love to do. I’m so nerdy that when I do have the opportunity to read, I choose books that can help further my education and practice, making me a better dietitian for my clients. I’m currently loving the book The Diseased Delusion by Jeffrey Bland.

Solids or Stripes?

Stripes all the way!

Favorite meal, dessert, and cocktail?

Choosing one favorite meal is impossible for me. Some of my favorites include my vegetable lasagna or herby salmon with tons of roasted veggies, and I’m obsessed with my go-to breakfast of coconut yogurt, fruit, and nutty granola. I’m not a big sweets person but for a sweet treat I’m into carrot cake, chocolate covered almonds or mint-chip ice cream (cone always). My go-to cocktail is a spicy margarita or a basil gimlet!

If you could pick three things to purchase on the Tuckernuck website, what would they be?

I want it all but if I had to choose just three… Peachy Pampelonne Maxi Dress, White Poppy Tie Shoulder Dress, and the Seagrass Large Cage Carafe.

What is your idea of tuckernucking, or finding the fun in life?

My family is everything to me. Tuckernucking to me means spending time with them, especially traveling or time playing in nature, eating delicious, nourishing food, and always finding time for cuddles!
